     (skipper, yacht-master)

 

§2

 

3 levels of certification:

 

  1. – Ocean navigation – unlimited sea waters                     - Yachtmaster - ocean
  2. – Offshore navigation – up to 200 Nm from the coast - Yachtmaster - offshore
  3. – Coastal navigation – up to 12 Nm from the coast     - Coastal skipper - tidal

 

ALL CERTIFICATES ARE  T I D A L

 

§4

 

Conditions for issuing of certificates:

 

  1. – has to be a holder of certificate B + shows 5 000 Nm – out of what 3.500 as a skipper + holds a General radio operators license + passes an exam for A
  2. – has to be a holder of certificate C + shows 2 000 Nm – out of what 1.000 as a skipper + holds a Restricted radio operators license + passes an exam for B
  3. – has to pass a practical exam + minimum of 200 Nm or 150 hours – out of that minimum of 1/5 at night + passes an exam for C

Certificate B:                Yachtmaster - Offshore

Practical tidal navigation

Naval charts, electronic charts,

Use of Tide tables, Admirality list of radio signals,

Voyage in extreme weather conditions

Ship dame in extreme weather conditions

Ship´s safety in extreme weather conditions

Naval Accidents

Insurance

Meteorology – monitoring systems, meteorological objects, synoptic meteorology

Standard Marine Navigational Vocabulary

Ability to translate extracts from English pilot books and articles

 

 

Certificate C:               Coastal skipper - tidal

All candidates must attend a course for the chosen level of proficiency.
